Collect cards, explore mysterious locations, battle monsters, upgrade your equipment, complete quests, and discover where your decisions lead.

OMEGA FLOWEY is an extraordinarily rare card with a unique reveal experience.

• Discover OMEGA FLOWEY through eligible card pulls.
• Trigger its special rare-card reveal.
• Access its nightmare opening scene through the reveal.
• Summon OMEGA FLOWEY in supported online battles.
• Experience unique effects that can dramatically change a match.

OMEGA FLOWEY is exceptionally difficult to find. Rare discoveries are never guaranteed.

⚔ TURN-BASED COMBAT

Choose how you approach every encounter.

• Use Basic Attack, Defend, and ACT.
• Play cards by spending SOUL.
• Earn XP and level up.
• Improve ATK, DEF, and HP.
• Equip up to 12 cards in the supported deck system.
• Experiment with different combinations and strategies.

Every encounter is an opportunity to test your deck, improve your character, and discover a better way to fight.

☯ LOVE VS. MERCY

Your choices have consequences.

LOVE represents the power gained by defeating foes.

MERCY rewards successfully sparing them.

Defeating a regular monster grants LOVE and resets stored MERCY to zero. Successfully sparing a monster grants MERCY instead.

Simply playing a healing or Mercy-themed card does not count as sparing an enemy. The encounter must actually end in a successful spare.

Choose your path carefully. Every decision helps define your journey.

▧ RANDOMIZED STAT GROWTH

Your progression is not entirely predictable.

• LOVE periodically boosts either ATK or DEF.
• MERCY periodically boosts either maximum HP or DEF.
• Boost intervals are randomized between 1 and 6 earned points.
• Each boost increases one randomly selected stat by approximately 10%.

Adapt your strategy as your character grows.

⚒ TEMMI SHOP

Spend G coins or MERCY on weapons, armor, accessories, and special items.

Available equipment includes:

• SOUL Locket
• Guardian Charm
• Starfall Blade
• Voidweave Coat
• Quiet Hourglass

MERCY costs twice as much as the equivalent coin price.

▣ OPEN HEARTS — CARD SHOP

Spend your hard-earned G to expand your collection.

• Choose from seven SOUL-themed card-pull tiers.
• Open between 1 and 10 cards per pull session.
• Discover new cards and add them to your collection.
• Hunt for eligible rare cards and special AU discoveries.
• Watch for rare-card reveal pop-ups.
• Try your luck for extraordinarily rare cards.

Pulled cards are added to your collection so you can decide which ones belong in your deck.

Remember: card rarity is never guaranteed. Some discoveries are much harder to obtain than others.

Daily Quests

• Complete smaller challenges.
• Defeat monsters and play cards.
• Earn G coins or card rewards.

Weekly Quests

• Take on longer challenges.
• Work toward bigger rewards.
• Get opportunities to earn higher-rarity cards.

Daily quests rotate at midnight Eastern Time. Weekly quests rotate every Monday at midnight Eastern Time, using the America/New_York time zone to account for daylight saving time.

Quest progress is stored locally in your browser. Changing the device clock or editing save data may affect quest resets and rewards.

Meet characters, fight bosses, uncover discoveries, complete quests, and pursue LOVE, MERCY, or balanced endings.

Revisit previous chapters or return to your current chapter whenever you’re ready.

♟ ONLINE MODE — PLAY WITH FRIENDS

Take your battles beyond your own screen!

• Create private online rooms and share room codes.
• Create public rooms that other players can browse and join.
• Support for two-player and up-to-four-player room configurations.
• Participate in turn-based battles.
• Communicate through online match chat.
• Use special cards to change the flow of battle.
• Manage HP, guard, G, and special-card effects.
• See the winner when a match ends.
• Request a rematch without creating a new room.
• Leave a finished match when you’re ready to stop playing.

Online functionality depends on the configured Firebase service and should be tested with multiple players.

⚔ THREE ACTIONS PER TURN

Make every action count!

• STRIKE: Attack an opponent.
• BRACE: Build up your guard.
• BURST: Unleash a stronger attack at a health cost.
• SPECIAL CARDS: Disrupt opponents, increase G income, heal, or reflect damage.

Plan your moves carefully. A good strategy can turn a difficult battle around.

▣ SPECIAL ONLINE CARDS

Discover cards that introduce additional effects to online battles.

• BLOCKER CARD: Reduces a player’s available actions.
• G FOLLOWER: Increases future G income based on current G.
• REFLECTION CARD: Provides special healing and damage effects early in a match, or reflects damage later.

Special cards can create new opportunities, but timing and strategy still matter.

↻ REMATCH SYSTEM

The battle doesn’t have to end after one victory!

• See the winner when a battle ends.
• Request another match without creating a new room.
• See how many players have accepted.
• Rematches begin only when every player in the room accepts.
• Leave the finished match if you don’t want to continue.

Settle rivalries, test new decks, and see who wins the next round!

Connect with other players through the available community features.

• Chat in the global community channel.
• Select a regional chat channel.
• Talk with opponents through online match chat.

Your offline progress is stored locally in your browser. Export a backup before clearing browser data or switching devices. Local profiles do not automatically sync between devices.

Create a local profile and choose your SOUL. Your choice is permanent for that save journey.

Visit locations available at your current level and discover encounters.

03 — BATTLE

Use Basic Attack, Defend, ACT, or play cards by spending SOUL.

04 — CHOOSE YOUR PATH

Defeat monsters for LOVE or successfully spare them for MERCY.

05 — BUILD YOUR DECK

Arrange your cards, search your collection, manage your deck, and visit TEMMI Shop to improve your equipment.

06 — COLLECT MORE CARDS

Visit the card shop, choose a SOUL tier, open your pulls, and watch for special rare-card discoveries.

07 — COMPLETE QUESTS

Check your daily and weekly challenges for additional rewards.

08 — CHALLENGE YOUR FRIENDS

Open ONLINE MODE, create or join a room, and test your strategy against other players.

09 — CONTINUE THE STORY

Meet major characters, challenge bosses, complete quests, and discover where your choices lead.

ONLINE PvP — IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Online play requires a correctly configured Firebase project, Anonymous Authentication, and compatible Realtime Database rules.

The game uses Firebase-powered online services for features such as rooms, chat, and multiplayer communication.

Online rooms, battles, synchronization, and rematches should be tested using multiple browser sessions or devices. Features may not work reliably if the backend is misconfigured or an issue occurs.

The current client-side battle system is a prototype and is not cheat-proof. It should not be treated as secure competitive ranked play.

Never put private administrative credentials inside the game’s HTML.

Offline gameplay does not require Firebase.

CONTENT NOTE

Contains stylized fantasy combat and references to violence presented through a text-based interface.

Inspired by monochrome RPGs, card battlers, alternate-universe characters, and themes of choices and consequences.

This is an evolving indie project. Bugs may occur, and some features may require further testing or improvement.

UNDERCARDS: BLACK & WHITE was created using HTML and related web technologies.
